Today I want to introduce you to an amazing person, and invite you to participate in something special.First the amazing person – my brother Jamie MacDonald. He is 4 years younger than me and I clearly remember his arrival in our home. When he was a toddler I was often assigned to look out for him while others worked around the farm. I was a fairly unenthusiastic babysitter and remember the evening he “disappeared” on my watch. A farm is a huge and dangerous place for a toddler to roam around, and things were pretty tense until he was discovered, safe and amusing himself out of sight of his now-terrified babysitter!
Today Jamie lives in White Rock, B.C. and is the Managing Partner of Maximum Impact Training and Development. (http://www.maximumimpact.ca/) He is well known as a dynamic and effective communicator. He genuinely cares for people and one of his strengths is his belief in the potential of each individual.
Now for the participation part! How would you feel about giving some feedback about the expectations and challenges that women face today?
The people at myTRUSTnetwork want to hear what women are thinking about achievement, relationships, and fulfillment in their lives today. The goal is to hear from 1500 women in the next 90 days. Would you please take this opportunity to give your personal feedback on-line? (http://www.mytrustnetwork.ca/ ), It should take you no more than 10 to 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
Your feedback is completely confidential and afterwards you will receive a synopsis of the feedback via the email address you use for the questionnaire. Three hundred women, including myself, have answered the questionnaire. I believe our comments will enable women to have a greater impact in their homes, their careers and their communities.
Now, you may wonder: how are these two things related - my brother and a questionnaire? My brother Jamie is an advocate of women in leadership in the workplace and in society. This research project is his brainchild! The results will be unveiled at a conference for women he is organizing in Vancouver in April. Former Governor General Michelle Jean is the special guest speaker for this event.
On myTrustnetwork website, (http://www.mytrustnetwork.ca/) to answer the questionnaire, click on “Dear Diary” and follow the instructions. To be introduced to my brother Jamie, click “Introducing” and then choose his photo to see a picture of an incredibly cute little boy from our days on the farm. To read a blog post he wrote about “sisters”, go to “Blogs” and scroll down to choose “Sisters’. Can you guess which girl I am in the old photos?

Wow - this is great - I was trying to figure out how to explain this questionnaire to my friends, and this has really helped. Thanks again for the interesting read.
