It's been really hot here, so a few days ago we took a short drive to Sawgrass Park for our walk. The park is in a wetlands area, so the public walks on boardwalks most of which are under a canopy of trees, a lovely cool place to walk. Last time we were here, we saw five alligators at various places, but didn't have the camera along. We hoped we would see some this day. You really have to look closely, because the alligators are experts at disguising themselves as logs.
Whoops - no this actually is a log! We didn't see any alligators on this day.We did see a little armadillo though. He was about the size of a small cat and he was rooting around in the underbrush. I was standing above him on the boardwalk and got a good view. Enjoy this video!

ReplyDeleteI don't know what armadillos eat, but i would say that undergrowth would be rich with grubs and worms, bugs and so forth. Glad you are enjoying my blog - this was your suggestion! I am having a lot of fun with it too.
